Is your Dream Jackpot balance protected?
Your money is kept apart from company funds, but it would still count as the business’s assets in an insolvency, so the terms give the rating Not Protected. That’s no statement about Jupiter’s finances.

What does a Not Protected rating mean?
Kept apart, but not shielded: the second of the Gambling Commission’s four categories.
| Rating | What the Commission says it means | Jupiter Gaming Limited |
|---|---|---|
| Not protected: no segregation | No protection in an insolvency. Allowed only for land-based operators and ancillary remote operators. | Not this one: its accounts are separate. |
| Not protected: segregation of customer funds | Customer money is kept apart from the business’s own accounts but would still form part of its assets in an insolvency. It’s the minimum for every remote operator that holds customer funds. | Jupiter’s rating in its terms: Not Protected, in separate bank accounts. |
| Medium protection | Separate accounts plus arrangements such as Quistclose accounts or insurance; no absolute guarantee. | Not claimed. |
| High protection | A trust account checked by an independent trustee or external auditor. | Not claimed. |
If the company fails, money in your account would count as part of its assets. The rating isn’t the regulator’s grade either: each operator holding customer money assesses its own arrangements, picks the category that fits and states it.

Which of your money does the rating cover?
The balance you can see: three kinds of money, the Commission says.
- Money you deposit into your online account.
- Winnings owed to you or left in the account.
- Bonus money you’ve become entitled to under an offer’s terms.
Gambling businesses may also legally hold customer money in bank accounts overseas, the Commission notes, and that doesn’t affect your rights.

What must Jupiter tell you about the rating?
The rating when you deposit and, since 31 October 2025, a reminder every six months, under rules announced on 4 February 2025.
The Commission adds that the reminder includes the amount held at the time, and that you’ve got to acknowledge it before you can gamble with those funds.

What happens to a balance you leave untouched?
It earns nothing: the terms say the account isn’t a banking facility and pays no interest.
An account with no deposit, bet or withdrawal for twelve months may be deemed inactive. Jupiter then emails a reminder, you’ve got 30 days to deposit, withdraw or bet, and only then does it try to refund the cash balance to your last payment method. If that refund can’t be made, the terms say the money is taken out of the account but stays yours to reclaim at any time.

What can you do about it?
If the rating makes you uneasy, the Commission says think about withdrawing promptly and about whether to keep the account.
- Withdraw what you don’t need there. The minimum is £10 (smaller amounts go through support), and the terms add that the minimum doesn’t apply when you close the account.
- Big wins have rules of their own: how Dream Jackpot’s jackpots work.
- Closing is a separate step. A closure you ask for by email can take up to 72 hours, and the terms say it isn’t a self-exclusion.
Money left in a casino account is also easy to play again: the safer gambling page gathers limits, breaks and free support.
